Discoveries in research can have great effects on society and our daily lives.
Transistors developed at Bell labs have pushed forward space exploration, satellite research enables GPS services and bioluminescence can be used to edit genes. The common root of successful commercialization of these discoveries has been communication. Being able to clearly explain what your research is and why it is important can help with funding, networking, presentations and above all else, explaining why a PhD takes so long and what is it you actually do during all those holiday family conversations.
Join us in both advancing your own skill set as well as learning what kinds of research your peers and friends are losing sleep over 🙂
